Every patient is under the care of a radiation oncologist who is a cancer specialist with expertise in the application of radiation therapy as it is used in the management of cancer.

He completed Law School at the University of Alabama School of Law in 1986 and is a member of the Alabama Bar and a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine. He also received an MBA from Averett University in 1996.
Dr. Weinacker served on a U.S. Army Special Forces Team in the U.S. and in overseas operations. He served as Battalion Surgeon for the 20th Special Forces Group during Operation Desert Storm. Following that he became the Medical Director for the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands Virginia from 1991 to 2010. He has extensive training and experience with a variety of different radioactive sources, HDR and linear accelerators including IGRT and IMRT.
Dr. Weinacker holds the title of Diplomat in the following additional areas: The National Board of Medical Examiners, Medical (FLEX) Examination, Board of Certification in Radiation Oncology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Radiology. He was awarded Radiation Oncology Physician of the Year in 2008 by the American Association of Physician Specialists. He is a member of the American Academy of Radiology, American College of Physician Executives, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology Oncology, Association of Military Surgeons of the U.S., American Bar Association and the American Medical Association.
His special interests are outdoor sports including tennis, marathons, triathlons, and Ironman contests. He is accompanied by his lovely wife Lisa and their 3 sons.
